| Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index gains 2.21% |

| Nifty Metal index closed up 2.21% at 11731.55 today. The index has slipped 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, JSW Steel Ltd added 6.28%, National Aluminium Company Ltd gained 3.53% and Steel Authority of India Ltd rose 3.32%. The Nifty Metal index has soared 13.00% over last one year compared to the 11.79% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index gained 1.76% and Nifty Commodities index added 1.60% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.68% to close at 22753.2 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.66% to close at 73606.75 today. |
