U.S. stocks bounce back as Nonfarm payrolls soften Back

US equities advanced on Friday, spurred by receding expectations for an imminent Federal Reserve interest rate increase following a weaker-than-anticipated jobs report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average registered a gain of 0.49%, the S&P 500 index climbed 0.74%, and the NASDAQ Composite index increased by 1.19%. A heightened risk appetite coincided with a decline in the US dollar as the jobs data dampened speculation regarding a near-term policy tightening. The Labor Department’s Nonfarm payrolls increased by 29,000 jobs last month, representing the smallest expansion for the metric this year. Job growth for August was revised downward to 133,000 from an initial estimate of 162,000.
