Hawkish Fed outlook weighs on bullion Back

Gold retreated toward $4,300 an ounce Tuesday, amplifying declines from the prior session amid hawkish commentary from Federal Reserve officials that bolstered anticipations of additional US interest rate increases. Investors are monitoring forthcoming addresses from pivotal Fed officials and the ADP employment report for updated indications regarding the US economy and monetary policy. The dollar and Treasury yields continued to be principal catalysts for bullion, while moderating oil prices and augmented diplomatic endeavors to resolve the Middle East conflict have diminished inflation anxieties. President Donald Trump’s prospective meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is also under close scrutiny for further insights into geopolitical risks. MCX gold futures decreased 0.3% to Rs.152,659 per 10 grams.
