U.S. stocks shed tears Back

US stocks fell on Friday after a strong nonfarm payrolls report raised expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike. Rising oil prices also negatively impacted investor sentiment. The S&P 500 declined by 0.4% to 7,716.95 points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.5% to 53,413.60 points, and the NASDAQ Composite decreased by 0.3% to 26,506.99 points. For the week, the S&P rose 0.1%, the NASDAQ gained 0.4%, while the Dow slipped 0.3%.
