| China stock markets end mixed |

| The Shanghai Composite closed flat at around 3,942, while the Shenzhen Component rose 0.1% to 13,625.1 on Thursday, following two sessions of losses. Improvements in economic momentum were suggested by fresh PMI data, showing China's Composite PMI rising to 52.1 in August from 50.8. Services PMI increased to 51.4 from 50.4, and manufacturing PMI rose to 51.5 from 50.9. However, concerns over weak domestic demand persisted. Foxconn Industrial Internet, Ping An Insurance, and Weichai Power saw gains, while major banks like Industrial and Commercial Bank of China experienced declines.
