| The US stocks declined in the last trading session of August due to geopolitical concerns and rising oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.70% to 53,185.90, the Nasdaq Composite Index eased 0.12% to 26,370.89, and the S&P 500 Index dropped 0.33% to 7,686.14. President Trump warned of a US response to Iranian attacks. US Treasury yields reached multi-month highs. Despite this, stocks gained in August, with the S&P 500 up over 2.5%, Nasdaq rising over 3%, and Dow increasing by 1.3%.
