| Gold futures are around $4,650 an ounce, and silver is about $69.50, both showing a significant monthly increase of about 15% and 20%. The rise is attributed to the US Treasury increasing long-term bond buybacks to $4 billion, which lowered yields and weakened the dollar, along with short-covering and speculative buying. Silver's demand is boosted by a supply deficit and industrial needs. Investors are looking forward to Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole for insights on monetary policy. In India, October gold futures fell 0.5% to around Rs.1,58,890, while September silver futures remained stable at Rs.2,39,680. |
