| US stocks slipped slightly on Wednesday due to mixed economic signals and cautious risk sentiments. The Dow Jones industrial average decreased by 113.52 points, or 0.21%, to 53,463.88. The S&P 500 fell 1.58 points, or 0.02%, to 7,675.70, while the Nasdaq dropped 21.10 points, or 0.08%, to 26,130.20. The personal consumption expenditures price index rose more than expected in July, with the core index increasing 3.3% annually. Markets are anticipating Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech on Friday for insights into future interest rates. |
