| Japanese stocks rebounded on Tuesday, with the Nikkei 225 and Topix both up 0.5% to 65,856 and 4,094, respectively. The rise was driven by a recovery in technology and AI-related shares after previous losses. Investors are anticipating Nvidia’s earnings later this week for insights on AI product demand. Additionally, Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s upcoming speech at the Jackson Hole symposium will be monitored for indications on US interest rates. The US also increased sanctions on Iran to encourage negotiations. Major gainers included Fujikura (5.5%), Furukawa Electric (10.3%), Ibiden (6.3%), SoftBank Group (2.3%), and Taiyo Yuden (1.3%).
