Previous Metals Preview: Gold spikes near $4200 per ounce

COMEX Gold soared by 2% on Wednesday, fueled by falling US Treasury yields ahead of a House vote to reopen the US government. The metal neared $4200 per ounce mark, hitting three week high. Silver prices also experienced a sharp spike, rising 4.6% to $53.58 per ounce, the highest level since October 17.
