Energy Preview: WTI crude oil holds above $60 per barrel

WTI crude oil prices are trading above $60 per barrel mark on Wednesday morning in Asia following a one and half percent surge in the previous session. Hopes for the end of the US government shutdown are boosting gains in the commodity. The US Republican-controlled House of Representatives is set to vote on Wednesday on a bill already signed off by the Senate. Meanwhile, the American Petroleum Institute (API) weekly crude oil stock report and the OPEC monthly oil market report for November, to be published on Wednesday is keenly awaited. The counter is currently trading at $60.84 per barrel, following a jump above $61 mark yesterday.
