Gold holding steady, Silver up 1.21%

MCX Gold futures are trading on a positive note today. The benchmark Dec-26 contract is slightly higher by 0.52% at Rs 148255 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 147589-148757 per 10 grams.The counter has softened 1.42% over last one-week. The metal gained modestly by 1.13% in last session.


Silver is up 1.21% at Rs 213200 per kg. The open interest in the counter eased by 1.55% to 20110 lots. The metal rose slightly by 1.11% in last session.


In global equities, US markets are likely to open on a positive note. DOW futures risen slightly 0.17%. In Europe, DAX Performance Index moved up 0.65% and CAC 40 ticked up 0.38%.


MCX Copper futures are marginally higher by 0.67% at Rs 1408 per kg.
