Gold lower, Silver down 2.11%

MCX Gold futures are trading on a weak note today. The benchmark Dec-26 contract is down 1.19% at Rs 146682 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 146674-148631 per 10 grams.The counter has eased 1.11% over last one-week.


Silver is significantly lower by 2.11% at Rs 214602 per kg. The open interest in the counter surged by 3.18% to 19878 lots. The metal slipped by 1.64% in last session.


In global equities, US markets are expected to open in red. DOW futures have edged lower 0.31%. In Europe, CAC 40 ticked up 0.31% and FTSE 100 edged up 0.15%.
