MCX Copper futures are are firm by 1.55% at Rs 1396 per kg right now. The counter was slightly higher by 0.58% in the day session till 6.00 PM. MCX Copper futures hit an intraday high of Rs 1398 per kg today and have seen a modest decline of 1.04% in the open interest. US equities are edging higher with NASDAQ Composite is soaring 1.62% on the day.MCX Copper is extending gains for fourth consecutive session.

In other metals, Zinc is trading higher by 1.52% at Rs 427 per kg, Aluminium is trading slightly higher by 0.58% at Rs 354 per kg, Nickel is marginally higher by 0.32% at Rs 1597 per kg while Lead is trading slightly higher by 0.10% at Rs 195 per kg.

Copper has edged lower by 3.52% in the last one week followed by MCX Zinc, down around 2.03%.
