Crude Oil plunging, Natural Gas down 0.21%

MCX Crude Oil futures are trading with steep losses today in evening trades. The benchmark MCX Sep-26 contract is substantially lower by 4.58% at Rs 9740 per barrel. US equities are firm with NASDAQ Composite is trading slightly higher by 0.78% on the day. MCX Crude Oil futures hit a high of Rs 10090 per barrel today and have recorded a steep drop of 21.61% in open interest. MCX Crude oil moving down for third consecutive session. The counter slumped by 1.97% in the day session till 6.00 PM.


MCX Natural Gas is marginally lower by 0.21% at Rs 280 per MMBtu. The counter moved in a range of Rs 278-286 per MMBtu today. The open interest in the counter fell sharply by 12.70%.


Crude Oil has surged 16.88% in the last one week while Natural Gas has gained around 2.15%.
