MCX Gold futures are trading with steep losses today. The benchmark Sep-26 contract is significantly lower by 2.08% at Rs 151962 per 10 grams. The intraday range was Rs 151052-155433 per 10 grams.The counter has dropped 1.92% over last one-week.The open interest in the counter plunged by 67.50% to 169 lots. The metal climbed by 2.13% in last session.

Silver is substantially lower by 1.82% at Rs 239612 per kg. The open interest in the counter increased by 2.40% to 32017 lots. The metal rose by 2.37% in last session.

In global equities, US markets are expected to open in green. DOW futures posted modest gains of 0.88%. In Europe, DAX Performance Index edged up 0.35% and FTSE 100 edged lower 0.06%.

MCX Copper futures are modestly lower by 0.35% at Rs 1378 per kg.
