COMEX Copper down half a percent

COMEX Copper futures eased a bit but stayed confined in a range today as equities were mostly under pressure. China's Shanghai Composite index rose marginally but other Asian indices turned lower. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.90%. Japan's Nikkei average dropped 0.74%. European stocks eased on Monday. German DAX fell around 1%. The US stocks ended the day mixed in last session. The S&P 500 eased 0.11% and tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.35%. The Dow Jones fell 0.56%. Renewed Middle East tensions are capping risk appetite. COMEX Copper futures are down 0.48% at $5.85 per pound. MCX Copper is in green though, up 0.37% at Rs 1215 per kg as INR dipped 52 paise against the US dollar.
